Who We Are

Galloping Angels Rescue and Sanctuary (GARS) is a nonprofit 501(c) charitable organization (Tax id#: 01-0975880).

GARS was founded in 2010 in response to the many small equine ending up at auction, in the care of animal control or living in less than ideal conditions.  GARS’ policy is to provide assistance by accepting donated/surrendered small equine (miniature horses, ponies and donkeys) into their care facility.

GARS works to rescue and rehabilitate Miniature Horses and other Small Equine including cases of neglect, dwarves, intentional abuse, the elderly and unwanted.  GARS works closely with a few veterinarians and farriers to give the horses their best chance at a great life.

GARS has a long-term goal of assisting owners in times of need, including natural disasters.

All donations are tax deductible.
